3.1 Derivatives

A derivative is a slope: how fast one quantity changes as another changes.

3.2 Limits and L’Hôpital’s Rule

When plugging in gives 0/0 or ∞/∞, the limit is still defined, you just need another route.

3.3 Maxima, Minima and Optimization

Set the first derivative to zero to find critical points.

3.4 Integrals

Integration undoes differentiation.

3.5 Areas, Volumes and Centroids

An integral adds up thin slices.

3.6 Partial Derivatives and Gradients

A partial derivative changes one variable and holds the rest constant.
