Newton’s Notes

Terms of Service

Effective October 8, 2026

These terms govern your use of newtonsnotes.com (the “Site”), operated by Fadil Atcha-Dedji, doing business as Newton’s Notes (“we”, “us”). By creating an account or buying anything on the Site you agree to them.

1. What you get

Plans give one person access to the study desk (chapters, problems, solutions, practice exams, study tools and, on Pro and Bundle plans, Ask Newton) for the period you buy. Access is personal and cannot be shared, resold or transferred. The free trial lasts 3 days from account creation and includes 20 Ask Newton questions.

2. Payments and renewals

Plans are one-time purchases for a fixed period. Nothing renews automatically. Prices are shown in US dollars on the pricing page at the time of purchase. Student pricing requires verification of a school email during promotional periods.

3. Refunds

Digital books (PDFs) are delivered immediately and are not refundable once downloaded. For plans, email us within 7 days of purchase if you’re not satisfied and we’ll work it out with you, provided the plan hasn’t been used extensively. Refunds are not available for accounts closed for breaking these terms.

4. Your account

You are responsible for keeping your password private and for everything done with your account. Tell us at once if you think someone else is using it. You must be at least 16 to create an account.

5. Our content

All problems, solutions, text, images and books on the Site are our copyrighted work. You may use them for your own exam preparation only. You may not copy, scrape, record, redistribute, post or sell any part of them, or use them to train software. We file takedown notices against copies and close the accounts they came from.

6. Ask Newton and the help chat

Ask Newton and the site help chat are AI assistants. They can make mistakes. Check important answers against the NCEES FE Reference Handbook. Usage limits apply and may change.

7. No exam guarantee

We prepare you; we do not promise a passing score. The FE exam is administered by NCEES, which is not affiliated with Newton’s Notes. FE and NCEES are trademarks of the National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying.

8. Availability and changes

We aim to keep the Site available but cannot promise it will never go down. We may change features, prices for future purchases, or these terms; material changes will be posted here with a new effective date. If a change substantially reduces what an active plan includes, you may ask for a pro-rated refund for the remaining period.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim related to the Site is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including exam results.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Connecticut, USA. Disputes will be handled in the courts of Connecticut unless the law where you live requires otherwise.
